I am very happy to announce that I won 4 awards at the Moscow International Violin Makers Competition in September 2014.
I received a Bronze Medal with a Guarneri del Gesu’ violin model, a Silver Medal with my Andrea Guarneri model viola, and a Silver Medal with my Stradivari Gore Booth model cello. I also received a Special Diploma for the Best quality of sound for my viola.
This is a terrific result with a very tough jury: the craftsmanship jurors were coordinated by the world renowned David Burgess from USA and Francesco Toto from Cremona, Italy; the sound jurors were among some of the best players in the world, Vladimir Ivanov, Lev Evgrafov and Alexander Rudin. The instruments that reached the finals were judged in Concert conditions at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. It is an absolute honor to have my instruments judged and given the thumbs up by such great artists!
